Metalized Series, answered

Which film in the Metalized Series rejects the most heat?

The Hybrid Series, by a clear margin: 80% to 95% total solar energy rejected with 87% to 93% infrared rejection, against 44% to 60% TSER for the Nano Ceramic Metalized films. The Nano Ceramic Infusion Series sits between them at 59% to 82% TSER. The Hybrid films pair carbon with ceramic and are the ones the data sheet points at for sunny regions with long summers.

Do the metalized films block GPS or mobile networks?

The data sheets state plainly that the Hybrid Series and the Hybrid Low Reflective Series do not block GPS or mobile networks, and the Nano Ceramic Metalized Series is engineered to give a mirror-like finish without affecting GPS or wireless performance. That is the whole design brief for these films — the appearance of a metallised tint without the signal penalty metallised films are known for.

What is the Infusion Series?

A multi-layer construction combining nano ceramic, metal and carbon, at 2 MIL. The Infusion Classic grades measure 54% to 73% total solar energy rejected; the Infusion Series above it reaches 59% to 82% TSER with 85% to 93% infrared rejection. Its data sheet also claims a seasonal effect the others do not: it traps heat in winter and reflects it in summer.
