Clear Guard is an optically clear film for vehicle windscreens and building glass. It works two ways: as a sacrificial layer it takes chips and cracks that would otherwise hit the glass, and as a laminate it holds broken glass in the frame instead of letting it shower into the cabin or the room. That also makes forced entry slower, which is what deters a smash-and-grab attempt. Clear Guard carries heat rejection properties as well, so it helps hold an indoor temperature rather than just protecting the glass.
Clear Guard Extreme Edition is the one specified for extreme arid and hot conditions. It carries superior heat rejection technology and is formulated to install cleanly in high ambient temperatures, which is where standard films fight the installer. Clear Guard + adds a PTFE coating infused between the layers for durability while keeping full visibility.
